Baños de Agua Santa, commonly known as Baños, is a city located in the province of Tungurahua, in Ecuador at 1,820 meters above sea level. Considered the adventure capital of this country, it is the gateway to the Ecuadorian Amazon. To get to Baños from Quito you can take a bus from the Quitumbe Terrestrial Terminal, located south of the city. There are bus companies that have the city of Baños as their final destination and their buses leave every 15 minutes.
Within Baños, public transport is the main means of transportation for the inhabitants of the city and its surroundings. The bus ticket costs about US $ 0.30. There are also inter-parish and inter-cantonal buses for transportation to nearby towns.
